According to the recent rumors out of Korea, they seem to “confirm” some of the device’s specs, such as a 5.2” which will be a slight bump over the Optimus Vu 2’s 5” display, a 4:3 aspect ratio, and a display resolution of 1280×960, which like we said would pale in comparison (on paper) to phones with Full HD displays, like the Samsung Galaxy S4 for example, or the Galaxy Note 3 which is rumored to sport a 5.68” Full HD display. The rumors however suggest a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset which we guess isn’t too shabby, along with support for LTE-Advanced networks.
No word on when LG will announce the Vu 3, but some are speculating that a launch on the 4th of September ahead of IFA is a possibility, and with Sony and Samsung reportedly planning similar launches on that day itself, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if LG decided to follow suit.
