LG Optimus L9 II Announced In The Netherlands

A few days ago we saw a leaked image of the upcoming LG Optimus L9 II, which according to a report back in May suggested a June announcement, but we guess it’s pretty obvious that LG has missed the date. In any case better late than never, right? If you believe in that adage, you will be interested to learn that the LG Optimus L9 II has been officially launched in the Netherlands. The handset is an upgrade over the original LG Optimus L9 from back in 2012, and if you liked what you saw then, perhaps its successor could be your cup of tea as well.

The rumors appear to be have been on point as the handset has been revealed to sport a 4.7” True HD IPS display, a dual-core 1.4GHz processor of unknown make, a 2,150mAh battery, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and will come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean running the show. It’s definitely not the most powerful Android smartphone that LG has put out, but given its specs, we expect that it will probably come with an affordable price tag attached to it that should make it an appealing purchase to customers on a tight budget. It is expected to go on sale this October, although no word on when it will be arriving stateside.
