In just a few decades there has been a lot of technological advancement. We now have smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and laptops, things which didn’t exist back in the day. Things which did exist back then have gone through radical transformation, take TVs for example. We now have full HD, internet enabled smart TVs that are capable of doing much more than their predecessors. However, if you find yourself attracted to the design language of that era, LG may have the perfect product for you. The Korean manufacturer has launched a new LCD TV that has been styled as a retro CRT set straight from the ’70s.
Called the LG 32LN630R “Classic TV,” this 32 inch TV has rotary dials up front for those who like walking up to the set from their couch to change the channel or adjust the volume. Three function buttons are placed underneath the dials. Despite its retro styling, the TV is full of modern features. It has a full HD 1080p IPS display with MHL, HDMI and USB ports. If you just want the retro design and not the physical exercise of getting up to adjust volume or change the channel, don’t worry, a remote control is also provided. LG hasn’t said if this TV set will be released in other markets, it is selling it in Korea only right now for 840,000 Won which is roughly US$750, a bit high for a 32 inch TV, don’t you think?
