LG has confirmed that it is once again stepping into the tablet market after nearly two years. Earlier today the company posted a teaser video for the LG G Pad tablet. The video didn’t exactly show the tablet itself or reveal any of its specifications. A purported render of the 8.3 inch G Pad has surfaced online which shows off what is supposedly LG’s upcoming tablet. The design similarities between LG’s latest flagship smartphone, the LG G2 and its upcoming tablet are evident in this render. Though it should be kept in mind that this render comes from an unofficial source, so the end product might look entirely different from what we see here.
This is going to be the first tablet LG releases after the LG Optimus Pad, which was released back in 2011. The Optimus Pad used to be powered by Honeycomb. This one right here is likely to tout Jelly Bean when it comes out. The report accompanying this render reiterates previous rumors that LG G Pad will have a 8.3 inch display which offers 1920×1200 pixel resolution. Rumor has it that LG will unveil this tablet at the IFA conference in Berlin, which is scheduled to take place in the first week of September. [Image via MoviePlayer]
