Earlier this year BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins had said that the company would release a new flagship smartphone. Over the last couple of weeks we have heard a lot of rumors and seen a lot of leaks related to the BlackBerry “A10” phablet. A recently leaked build of BlackBerry OS 10.2 revealed that this device is actually going to be called the Z30. It has a 5 inch display and design that’s similar to the Z10, though the back plate is quite similar to that of the Q10. A couple of pictures of the BlackBerry Z30 have surfaced online once again, these are from the folks at ETrade Supply.
The pictures show off Z30’s mid-plate, where the “BlackBerry Z00” stamp is present. This is taken as an indication that this device will be launched as part of the Z series, not the A series as previously rumored. Believed to be the last BlackBerry 10 device for 2013, the Z10 is said to have a 5 inch 720p display, a 1.7GHz dualcore Snapdragon S4 processor and an 8 megapixel rear camera. No word as yet on the pricing and availability, though its possible that the company might release it in the next couple of months.
