z10-q5-z30-frontIs having wireless charging abilities on your phone a make or break feature? Nokia’s lineup of Lumia Windows Phone devices have for the most part, wireless charging abilities, and other manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC, LG, and Sony have also included wireless charging capabilities in their products, but BlackBerry? Not so much, although with the upcoming BlackBerry Z30, that could change. The Z30’s apparent wireless charging abilities was suggested in a new listing posted to the Wireless Power Consortium that’s basically a database of devices that are authorized to carry the Qi logo, signifying that the device will be compatible with wireless charging stations.

In any case, the listing reveals the BlackBerry Z30 as a device that will be one of the first to use the Medium Power Receiver designation and is capable of 120 Watts. This would be an interesting development for BlackBerry, and while the company has yet to confirm anything yet, such as the phone itself let alone its features, we guess there’s always the off-chance that this could be a listing made erroneously, but what do you guys think? Are you pleased at the possibility that BlackBerry is looking into wireless charging for their devices?
