According to the benchmarks, a certain ASUS PadFone Infinity A86 has made an appearance with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset in tow, leaving some to speculate that US availability has been delayed as ASUS was looking to launch the Snapdragon 800 model in the US instead. A “new PadFone Infinity” listing has also be found on ASUS’ support site which we’re not sure if it could be the official name or a placeholder, but all of which suggests that it could be coming soon.
Earlier in August a leak suggested that ASUS could be working on a variety of new products, with the PadFone Infinity being one of them. Reliable leaker @evleaks also confirmed the A86 model on his Twitter account a couple of days ago, along with its processor and some of its features. No word on when ASUS will announce the new PadFone Infinity, but with IFA 2013 around the corner, hopefully it will be soon.
