It was a day right after Christmas when the ZTE Nubia Z5 was launched, and apparently, this particular smartphone also came in a limited edition titanium model. Well, slightly more than half a year into 2013, here we are with word that a smaller version of the ZTE Nubia Z5 has arrived, and it is aptly known as the ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini. This will be a mini model that takes after the footsteps of the Galaxy S4 Mini or the soon to arrive HTC One Mini, although do not expect hardware specifications on the Nubia Z5 Mini to outstrip those of its larger, more established sibling.
Rumors have it that the ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini will come with a 4.7” 720p resolution display, run on a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait 300 processor, 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera alongside a slew of connectivity options. It ought to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box, and will measure 65.7mm x 134.8mm x 10.3mm while tipping the scales at approximately 160 grams. It remains to be seen just what is the official launch date of this smartphone, but the near future should be more likely than not.
