Xbox 360 Controller Goes Gold, Literally
Yes, I am quite sure that many of you out there are already hankering after the recently announced Xbox One, while some others who prefer not to be divided right down the middle have settled to place a pre-order not only for Microsoft’s upcoming next generation console, but also for Sony’s future PS4, in order to enjoy the best of both worlds. Does this mean that the current Xbox 360 is on its last legs? Not quite likely, as it should be around for a fair number of years if history is anything to go by. Not only that, those who want to jump aboard the Xbox 360 bandwagon after all these years have a fantastic catalogue of games to choose from, in addition to giving them the chance to spice things up, especially with a brand new Xbox 360 controller which will be arriving in August – and covered with a shade of gold, as it will be part of the Xbox 360 Chrome series.
It seems that this particular model is not too different from the one which rolled out some time ago alongside the limited edition Star Wars 360. The D-pad on this gold controller will be new and improved, while the cover itself boasts of a reflective finish, just like all of the other Chrome controllers that have hit the market to date. It will be exclusively available over at GameStop and Microsoft Stores for $54.99 a pop, without any specific release date, although as mentioned earlier, August is looking good. Looks like HTC isn’t the only one going gold.
