It did not take too long before the white 8GB Nexus 4 smartphone was listed as “no longer available for sale” on the Google Play Store – less than a week, in fact, and now the same “malaise” has apparently taken over its larger capacity 16GB Nexus 4 smartphone, which also comes in white. If you happen to point your browser to the white 16GB Nexus 4’s product page at the moment, you will be greeted by the message, “Nexus 4 with Bumper (White, 16GB) is no longer available for sale.” Not only that, the 8GB and 16GB models of the white Nexus 4 have also been removed from the “Choose another Nexus 4” area that is located right under the main product image, which means those who still want to pick up the most recent Google Nexus 4 smartphone will just have to settle for a business-minded looking black color.
Like the Bard said, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, and so, a Nexus 4 by any other color would perform with similar gusto, so it you are on the lookout for a new Nexus 4, the color should not matter too much at the end of the day. Google has yet to comment on the final status of the white Nexus 4 – will there be new inventories coming in? We don’t know, so patience is our best bet here.
