Vudu For Android Works With Selected Handsets Now
It was sometime last year when Vudu’s player for Android rolled out to the masses, offering tablet support along the way, and now there is a spanking new update which allows it to function on a limited bunch of smartphones. Some of those handsets that fall under this particular category include some of the more recently released Samsung handsets, the Nexus 4, the HTC One, as well as a bunch of other devices. This particular app would work for either streaming or downloading movies, and it did play nice on the Nexus 4 without running into any issues for those who gave it a go, although the user interface remained the same as that of the tablet version, making some of the buttons smaller than some users might be comfortable with.
Apart from that, it was rather impossible to play the video in any other resolution that is higher than Standard Definition, but then again, the amount of detail in Full HD would most probably be lost on a smaller screen as the experience would be a whole lot more different compared to a regular large screen TV in your living room. The Vudu for Android app will be free, so you might want to give it a go.
