Unlocked HTC Butterfly S On Pre-order In The US
If you happen to live in the US and have drooled over the HTC Butterfly S which was announced sometime last month, targeting the South East Asia market, then you would be pleased to hear that you can now place an order for the handset Stateside, courtesy of select retailers have figured out that there is a market for this device. Needless to say, the only way the HTC Butterfly S is going to land in your laps would be to have it arrive unlocked. That means no subsidies from wireless carriers, resulting in a contract-free device, but it also translates to a (much) higher entry price point, of course.
Most of the time, such cases would involve extravagant amounts of cash – so much so that you might want to ask a friend to just purchase one overseas before they return home. For example, Overseas Electronics will only send you one if you are willing to part with $850 a pop, although you get to choose between black, white, grey, and red shades. Negri Electronics is not asking too much, “just” $771.50 for an unlocked Butterfly S, without listing a shipping date. Any takers?
