Of course, in order to make the Ubuntu Edge possible, one would need plenty of money in doing so, and this is why the Ubuntu Edge is now an Indiegogo project. Ubuntu is asking for a cool $32 million in total, and they have exactly one month to do so. If you have enough faith to pick up this device, all you need to do is pledge $600 and you’re good to go. Company founder Mark Shuttleworth claims that the Indiegogo strategy is not meant to follow the footsteps of other mobile carriers. Right now, tentative specifications include a quad-core CPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal memory, a 4.5” display at 1,280 x 720 resolution, an 8-megapixel shooter at the back and a 2-megapixel camera in front, LTE connectivity, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC support. Any takers?
