Toshiba is no stranger to churning out tablets, as we even managed to get some hands on time with one of them at CES a couple of years back. The thing is, Toshiba might be able to pack in their fair share of technology and hardware into their tablets, but somehow or rather, their marketing machine seems to come up short, as Toshiba is not the name that you would think of first where tablets are concerned. Still, it seems that Toshiba has not quite thrown in the towel where the tablet industry is concerned just yet, where the Japanese firm is tipped to be working on a new low-cost tablet that comes with a 7” display. The good people over at Notebook Italia have spotted a particular set of benchmark results that disclose an unannounced device that carries the Toshiba AT7-A moniker.
Apparently, the Toshiba AT7-A would come with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution display, which is pretty much confirmation that it will also arrive with a 7” screen size, and not to mention a price tag that would make your wallet smile. I guess this would be a good introductory device for those who have yet to decide for themselves whether they need a tablet in their lives or not. Other hardware specifications of the Toshiba AT7-A as revealed in the benchmark results include a 1.6GHz processor, an ARM Mali-400 graphics chipset, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice.
