Toddler Purchases Vintage Car By Accident Over Dad’s Phone
Now here is a very good example of why you should get little ones gadgets that were specially developed and created for them – as 14-month-old Sorella Stoute of Portland was “playing” with her dad’s smartphone when she accessed the eBay app, meddled around with the site and eventually managed to land a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite on behalf of her dad (without knowing, of course), where said car was listed affectionately as “FrankenSprite”. Good thing this classic car did not cost Sorella’s dad a few hundred grand, but rather, it was sold for a mere $225.
Sorella’s parents mentioned that they felt “initial panic,” but eventually decided to keep the car. Needless to say, they picked up Sorella’s accidental purchase where FrankenSprite is now housed at Sorella’s grandparents’ place. According to Sorella’s dad, Paul Stoute, he has every intention of restoring the car with the intention of presenting it as a 16th birthday present for Sorella. This is cute, buying your very own birthday present 15 years in advance. We wonder whether Sorella will ever get access to her dad’s phone after this from now on.
