According to Battlefield 4 developer DICE, they have not yet shut the door to the possibility of a mouse and keyboard support when it comes to this title that is tipped for a PS4 release, at least this is what producer Aleksander Grøndal has shared. In a conversation with AusGamers, Grøndal was asked whether the DICE team might consider throwing in support for the mouse and keyboard for Sony’s upcoming futuristic console, and this is what he had to say, “We have mouse and keyboard support for the PC obviously, but I can’t speak now specifically for next gen consoles. But if it makes sense in the Battlefield universe, for a Battlefield game, we’ll consider it.”
If you are a true blue FPS gamer, you would know that nothing quite beats a mouse and keyboard combination. This love affair started with the advent of circle strafing in Doom, where it proved to be the most effective strategy in taking down a Cyberdemon, and the plain keyboard just will not do. Of course, when Quake came around, performing a rocket jump with the right sensitivity could only be executed with a mouse, unless you bound your keys to the keyboard which just didn’t feel right. Do you think that DICE should throw in mouse and keyboard support for Battlefield 4?
