Nokia Lumia 1020 With Camera Shell Accessory Pictured Ahead Of Announcement
It won’t be long before Nokia officially announces the Lumia 1020, but in a series of photos obtained by The Verge, we now have a better look at the device when paired with its camera shell accessory, which you can see pictured above. The camera shell accessory is said to be a case of sorts for the back portion of the phone. When attached, it will not only provide the phone with additional battery life, but will make the lens on the back of the phone protrude less, while at the same time providing the phone with a bigger grip which we expect will be more comfortable to snap photos with compared to holding a thin phone. The accessory is also said to come with a dedicated shutter button although we can’t really see it from the photo, but hopefully more details will be shared later on.
As far as its rumored specs are concerned, the phone will come with a 4.5” AMOLED display with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a 41MP rear-facing camera that includes a Xenon flash and f/2.2 lens which should help with low-light photography, and will run on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8. As it stands there is a 64GB version of the Lumia 1020, but apparently that model will be exclusive to Telefonica who operates several carriers across Europe and Latin America, suggesting that we might not be seeing that particular model stateside at least for the foreseeable future.
