New Nexus 7 Announced

By the end of this year, consumers will purchase more tablets each year than computers (notebooks and desktops), and you can be sure that the second generation Nexus 7 is going to be a factor in the exponential growth of tablets. After all, it is tipped that one out of every two tablet users run on the Android operating system, and the tablet march is not going to slow down anytime soon. Google Play has over a million apps for download, which will further augment the tablet experience. The new Nexus 7 has been designed to be more portable than its predecessor, where its side bezel has been narrowed down to nearly 3mm on each side, and it is lighter than ever before.

Arriving in pure black on black design with a few glossy features and subtle detail, you can be sure that the new Nexus oozes with style. It is the highest resolution 7″ tablet in the world, and with 323ppi pixel density, it has the highest pixel density on any tablet – period. We are talking about 1,920 x 1,200 resolution for its 10-point touch IPS panel, where it runs on a quad-core 1.5GHz S4 Pro Qualcomm processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean right out of the box. Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11n, while in front there is a 1.2-megapixel camera with a 5-megapixel shooter behind. The US will enjoy a 4G LTE version, where it will be made available to a range of mobile carriers (AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile). Expect it to arrive in 16GB (Wi-Fi only model included) and 32GB (4G LTE) capacities. Throw in wireless charging capability, and you should have a winner in the new Nexus 7.
