Microsoft Offering 12 Months Of Xbox Live With Office 365 Subscriptions

Microsoft Office 365 launched earlier this year, and shortly after its release, the service reached 1 million subscribers, but Microsoft is still looking for different ways to entice people to purchase its subscription-based Office service. Today, Microsoft has unveiled something that will keep both office workers and gamers very happy for at least a year.

Starting today and ending on September 28, those who purchase either a 12-month Office 365 Home Premium subscription or a 4-year Office 365 University subscription will be given 12 months of Xbox Live Gold service for free. Unfortunately, U.S. customers are currently ineligible for this offer, but the majority of Europe, Asia and Australia can partake in this offer.

Seeing how big the Xbox 360 is in the U.S., it’s interesting to see Microsoft won’t be offering this deal for those customers who would probably make the most use out of it. That could also be the precise reason why Microsoft isn’t offering this deal in the U.S. as they could potentially be using this offer to not only inflate its numbers overseas for Office 365, but also for its Xbox Live Gold.
