There is nothing quite like concrete confirmation from the hardware manufacturer or company itself when it comes to the hardware specifications, release date, pricing details, or in this case, the name of LG’s future flagship smartphone. Much has been said and shared about the upcoming flagship device, but we now know for sure that the LG G2 will be called that – meaning there will no longer be any more “Optimus” moniker thrown into the mix, which is fine and dandy by me, actually. I am not quite sure that this will sit down nicely with everyone else though, since some of the more traditional minded folks prefer to stick to the previous naming convention.
Still, LG’s statement in a press release did confirm that the LG G2 will be the name of their next flagship device, and it will be the first of potentially other products that will be part of the South Korean company’s new G premium brand. Apart from that, we were also privy to information that we could very well be looking at future Vu smartphones from LG as well, and these handsets will carry the 4:3 aspect ratio for its display.
