It was recently rumored that Apple is hiring designers in large numbers to work on its iWatch project. Rumors of a wearable gadget coming out of Apple have been circulating for quite some time now, but we’re yet to see any part or component leaks like we do with conventional Apple products such as the iPhone and iPad. Apple is now said to hiring a team of people that specialize in fitness, medical sensors and software required for a fitness focused device. This team is believed to be working on the much rumored iWatch.
It is also believed that global marketing head Phil Schiller and his team are examining other fitness products such as Jawbone Up and the Nike FuelBand. According to one source, Apple has even recruited former engineers that worked on the assembly of internal components for the first ever iPhone. Battery experts from multiple divisions of the company have reportedly been gathered as well, the iWatch is expected to have flexible batteries. Apple’s latest, and patented, display based fingerprint sensor technology is also expected to find its way on the iWatch. Rumor has it that the company has also hired people who have previously worked on devices that analyze sleeping patterns. Recent rumors suggest that the iWatch isn’t going to be released until 2014.
