Halo: Spartan Assault Arriving On Verizon For $6.99 A Pop
Mobile gaming has certainly taken off in a big way with all of the different app stores offering various wares, and it has been estimated that freemium games (those games that are originally free to download and install, but along the way, your progress in the game is halted or turned into an excruciatingly slow march unless you actually spend real money to upgrade your character, or perhaps to be on the fast track to product acquisition in-game) will earn up to $10 million a day in four years’ time. That is definitely an amount not to be sneezed at, and I suppose when you have games like Halo: Spartan Assault which has a very strong pedigree, it is something worth looking forward to.
Granted, Halo: Spartan Assault will be no freemium game as it arrives on Verizon, as it will be accompanied by a $6.99 sticker price tag along the way. This is not to say that Halo: Spartan Assault will remain a Verizon exclusive, however, although Verizon did announce that the game will launch on Verizon Windows Phone 8 devices such as the Nokia Lumia 928, Nokia Lumia 822, Windows Phone 8X by HTC, as well as the Samsung ATIV Odyssey.
