It has only been a few months since Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 smartphone, its latest Android flagship device. Soon after that rumors started circulating online that the company was going to release a “faster” version of this device initially in South Korea only. This faster version was said to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor as well as support for LTE-Advanced. Samsung did in fact release the Galaxy S4 LTE-A variant in South Korea, but now according to a couple of leaked screenshots, the variant might be making its way over to Europe soon.
Last week this exact same model, the GT-I9506, was spotted on Antutu Benchmark. The new screenshots also reveal that this model will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor as well as LTE-A support. Right now the European market has the GT-I9505 Galaxy S4 model, which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and no support for LTE-A. It is not known for sure exactly when this variant will go on sale in the Europe, and if it will make its way Stateside. LTE-Advanced is the next frontier in mobile data after 4G LTE, it is theoretically capable of offering speeds of up to 150Mbps. [Image via SammyHub]
