FCC Approves LG D801

lgg2-fccThe FCC has been busy bees all this while, and there does not seem to be any rest made available for them. In fact, the folks over at the FCC have recently approved a new and mysterious LG D801 smartphone, where there has been no official designation for this particular device just yet. Of course, it goes without saying that speculation is rife that this could very well end up as the LG G2 flagship that we have been talking about for quite some time now, and the LG G2 is also tipped to be announced this coming August 7th.

The FCC has also posted a sketch of the D801, where it looks rather similar in nature to the leaked LG G2 video that proved to be quite the tease recently. Volume buttons on the LG G2 are located on the back, right under the rear camera. The FCC documents also point to the D801 being friendly with AT&T’s LTE connectivity (bands 4 and 17), and this might very well signal the availability of the LG G2 over at AT&T. Other hardware specifications include a 5.2” Full HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, and a 2,700 mAh battery.
