Diablo 3 gamers, chances are you have already completed the game several times over, maxed out all your character levels and right now you’re probably just farming for more gear or have stopped playing the game entirely. Well if you were hoping for an expansion to the game, it seems that you might be getting some details about it come Gamescom 2013. This is thanks to a recent bout of emails being sent out to various sites that informed them that there will be a Diablo 3 discussion panel held at Gamescom, and in that email it reads that Blizzard will be making a “special announcement”.
It was previously speculated that Blizzard will only introduce the expansion in November at the developer’s own event, BlizzCon, which they normally do, so it is interesting that they might have chosen Gamescon to announce it. Blizzard’s own Nick Carpenter’s recent tweet seemingly confirms this as it reads, “wrapped another amazing cinematic. Can’t wait to show the world!” In any case hopefully we are looking at a Diablo 3 expansion here, as opposed to maybe a card game based on the Diablo universe, but either way be sure to check back with us during Gamescom for all the details!
