Canon EOS 70D Announced

The Canon EOS series has certainly come a long way from its humble beginnings, and for what it is worth, I still have a functional EOS 20D in my possession, although the UV filter has chipped off, and at certain settings, I get the common Error 99 issue, but other than that, it has been built like a tank. So, the latest addition to the Canon EOS series would be the Canon EOS 70D DSLR, where it boasts of instant and accurate focusing of not only still images, but for video as well.

The Canon EOS 70D DSLR was specially designed to change the way that one captures images and video, thanks to a new dual pixel CMOS AF technology, in addition to sporting integrated wireless capability so that you can send and upload photos to connected devices – although the free app that enables this currently works with iOS and Android-powered devices only. I guess Eye-Fi is going to be out of business soon, and apart from that, the Canon EOS 70D DSLR would also be accompanied by a 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 5+ image processor, among others. The Canon EOS 70D DSLR is tipped for a September 2013 release, where it will retail for $1,199 just for the body alone. For those who want it to come bundled with a lens kit, it will cost you $1,349 and $1,549, respectively, for an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens and a EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, respectively.
