Amazon PS4 And Xbox One Pre-Orders Run Out
A few days ago we reported that GameStop had reportedly gone through their entire allocated stock of Sony PlayStation 4 pre-orders, and now it looks like if you wanted to get your hands on the console, or maybe the Xbox One, via retailers such as Amazon, you’d be out of luck as well. According to a post by Amazon on their Facebook page, it looks like they too have completely run out of their allocated stock for both the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One video game consoles. The post reads, “After a crazy and exciting month, we’ve sold through our initial allocations of PS4 and Xbox One. Thank you to all who have ordered and shared your opinions. We have the Standard Editions for both consoles still available, but we can’t guarantee these at release. Please check back here as we’ll update you first if we receive further release day allocations.”
It should be noted that these are for pre-orders of the day 1 editions of the console, meaning that these are the devices that should arrive in the hands of consumers on release day itself. The console is still up for pre-order but it means you might have to wait a while before you get yours. Since a launch date for either console have yet to be announced, there’s no telling when gamers can expect their console, but at the moment it has been suggested that Sony and Microsoft could announce the release dates at gamescom in Germany.
