Additional Sony i1 Camera Details Surface

It was just the other day that alleged photos of the Sony i1 “Honami” smartphone was spotted, and while we’re still waiting for Sony to make an official announcement, the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors have managed to get some additional details of the camera system of the phone. As it stands, the rumors of the handset include a 5” Full HD 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, a 20MP camera and is expected to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

So according to the additional camera specs obtained by Sony Alpha Rumors, the camera of the Sony i1 is expected to have an ISO range of 50-12,800. It will also rely on Sony’s Super Steady Shot image stabilization, an f/2.0 28mm equivalent lens on it, a 20MP BSI Exmor R sensor which is reportedly the same as the recently announced Sony RX100M2 which should aid in low-light photography, and give Nokia a run for their money. Their source has also suggested manual controls for shutter speed and maybe even for aperture control, along with a new Cyber-Shot app accompanying it. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we can’t help but feel that this sounds more like a camera than a phone, but what do you guys think?
