SRC Apps is developing SwapChat, which is a third party Snapchat app for the Windows Phone platform. There’s no official Snapchat Windows Phone app available right now, apparently they are working on one, but it is not known when that app is going to be released. The team at SRC Apps has confirmed that they will be submitting the first version of SwapChat in the next few days. A number of companies do allow third party developers to create apps for their service, popular third party apps for Instagram on Windows Phone such as Idstagram and Instance are good examples.
Snapchat has gained quite a huge number of users, its actually quite popular with the youth, the service allows them to send pictures or videos to their contacts. Such pictures and videos are automatically deleted from the recipient’s device after a set period of time, usually seconds. Last month it was reported that Snapchat users will sending as many as 150 million photos every single day, and by the looks of it, that number has no where else to go but up.
