We’ve been hearing rumors about the successor of Sony’s NEX-7 camera and that it could possibly be announced in the summer, but it seems that there could be a slight chance of delay. According to the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors, they claim to have gotten a tip from one of their sources that the NEX-7’s successor could be delayed, and apparently the reason behind the delay is due to manufacturing problems that was discovered during the production of prototype units of the device. Apparently Sony is now looking for a way to fix the problem that will not compromise the camera and at this point in time, there is no word on when the camera could be primed for an announcement. We’re not sure what sort of compromise we’re looking at here – could it be a design compromise, a feature compromise, or maybe compromise on quality? Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information.
