Photographers, if you’ve enjoyed Sony’s NEX cameras, such as the NEX-5r, you might be interested to learn that there is a possibility that a successor to the NEX-5r could be in the horizon. According to the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors, one of their readers informed them that when they tried to take their NEX-5r in for repair, they were told that if they wanted to get a new one, they’d have to be quick because apparently Sony would be taking the camera off production come June. This was told to them by the official repair company, and for those wondering what that could mean, the fact that the camera is being taken off production would suggest that a successor could be in the works and ready to replace it. Of course this is only a rumor so take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think of a NEX-5r successor? What sort of features would you like to see brought to the alleged device?
