As expected, Samsung has taken the wraps off their new tablet at Computex 2013, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, the larger version of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. We’ve been wondering why this tablet had not made its appearance earlier but we guess Samsung was saving it for Computex instead. In any case the tablet has been officially announced and for those curious as to whether the official specs match up to the unofficial and rumored ones, well here goes.
If you were planning on picking it up for yourself, you can look forward to an 8” 1280×800 WXGA display. The tablet will also be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, 16/32GB onboard storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, microSD card support, a 4,450mAh battery with Android running the show. It will also come bundled with other Samsung features such as S Translator, Group Play, Story Album, Reading Mode, and etc. No word on pricing yet but it is expected to be made available later this month.
