Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition Arrive On Verizon

Sometime close to the end of last month, we came across word that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition was spotted on Samsung’s website. Fast forward by a month, and we now have hard evidence that the developer edition of Samsung’s flagship phone can now be picked up over at Verizon Wireless, although you would have to part with $650 for it in the first place. This will be an unlocked device, as the developer edition of the Galaxy S4 will arrive with the entire slew of features that are found of the standard issue Galaxy S4, although as its name suggests, it will target developers as well as other folks who prefer to spend time tweaking the handset without having to deal with all the digital “roadblocks” faced by a locked version.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition will boast of an unlocked bootloader, allowing enterprising folks to reprogram the phone with a custom ROM that will run the bare basics – including the Android operating system itself alongside the more basic apps. Following that, you are then able to install a range of apps of your choice, and make the relevant changes to suit yourself. Expect this smartphone to arrive in Mist Black, where it will play nice with Verizon’s 3G and 4G networks. They say that AT&T subscribers are also due for a Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition, but you will have to play the patience card a little longer for that situation.
