It was just the other day that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active’s press rendering was leaked, and if you liked what you saw, you might be pleased to learn that Samsung has officially taken the wraps off the device. The company has announced the Galaxy S4 Active in all of its official glory and like the rumors were saying, the handset will feature a 1.9GHz quad-core chipset along with a 5” Full HD TFT LCD display, giving the device a pixel density of 443 PPI. The handset will also feature an 8MP rear-facing camera and like its “Active” name suggests, will come with an Aqua Mode camera feature which will allow the device’s camera to take better quality and enhanced images and video while shooting underwater. Of course to be able to be used underwater, the Galaxy S4 Active is also IP67 certified, meaning it will be able to withstand both dust and water to a reasonable degree, of course. No word on pricing but the phone is expected to be made available in the beginning of summer in markets such as US and Sweden, and will be offered in Urban Grey, Dive Blue, and Orange Flare.
