Samsung today announced a number of new devices, it also announced two ultrabooks. We’ve already covered one, Samsung’s flagship ATIV Book 9 Plus. The company at its event in London also unveiled ATIV Book 9 Lite, which Samsung says will appeal to those who are looking for more “value.”
The ATIV Book 9 Lite is said to have an AMD 1.4GHz quadcore processor and a 256GB solid state drive. The display offers a resolution of 1,366×768, there will be touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions available. The ATIV Book 9 Lite will be available in three colors namely black, white and red. The touchscreen model weighs 1.44kg and the non-touch model comes in at 1.58kg. It is said to offer 8.5 hours of battery life, which is notably less than the ATIV Book 8 Plus which offers 12 hours of battery life. The ultrabook is expected to be released in Q3, 2013.
