As it stands, Sony’s PlayStation 4 is $100 cheaper than Microsoft’s Xbox One. The difference is that depending on the need of the gamer, they might choose to spend a bit more to get their hands on the PS Eye, while Microsoft basically includes the Kinect with the Xbox One bundle. However according to the reports from multiple sources who spoke to IGN, it seems that prior to E3, Sony had intended to include the PS Eye with the PS4 and were going to charge $500 for the entire bundle, similar to that of the Xbox One. In a bid to beat out Microsoft in terms of pricing at least, Sony made a last minute decision to remove the PS Eye from the PS4 bundle, ultimately reducing the price by $100. Of course these claims cannot be verified for now, but what do you guys make of this? Was it a smart move by Sony to remove the PS Eye to reduce price?
