[E3 2013] It was an extremely busy day for us yesterday as we were at the E3 showfloor, covering different press conferences and seeing what Microsoft as well as Sony have released. There was not much information about the Sony PS4 where the US release is concerned, but the folks over at Japan do seem to be more meticulous, where it seems that the PS4 would arrive with a 500GB hard drive just like the Xbox One, and will lack the camera module. If you want the camera module, it would cost you another $59 on top of the $399 price point for the console itself, hence shaving off the $100 price advantage by more than half already as things start to even up from the hardware front.
There was a Best Buy listing which further confirmed the PlayStation 4 Eye’s add-on status and pricing, and if you are interested and cannot wait, you can pick up another DualShock 4 controller for $59 a pop. Other hardware specifications include dimensions of 275mm x 53mm x 305mm, HDMI and optical out, a couple of USB 3.0 in and 1 AUX in ports, and a single ear mono headset.
