Ever heard of Metaio before? Well, they are the ones who partnered with ST Ericsson to come up with the first augmented reality hardware in the world earlier this year, and this time around, we have word that Metaio has just announced that it has arrived at the 50,000 developers benchmark, clearly underlining their position as a market leader where augmented reality is concerned. Not only that, this particularly proud announcement of their achievement also comes in time for updates to the Metaio SDK and Metaio Creator and the start of the first-ever Metaio International Developer Contests.
It has been under two years since the Metaio SDK was released, and the company is extremely proud to have hit the 50,000 developers mark who make use of its platform, with over a thousand applications rolled out across enterprise, industrial, publishing and retail platforms. In order to commemorate this remarkable milestone, Metaio will roll out a spanking new “AR” standard logo to the community, while hoping to encourage even developers to jump aboard the bandwagon in the first Metaio International Developer Contests to date. The Metaio SDK and Metaio Creator packs have received relevant updates to deliver better and more efficient content management, application creation and game development. Here is to many more years of participation in the augmented reality market, Metaio!
