Korean Consumers Fuming Over Galaxy S4 LTE-A Model

It was not too long ago when we brought you word that Samsung’s co-CEO, J.K. Shin, did more or less confirm to the whole world that there is an LTE-Advanced version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is in the pipeline, ready and waiting to hit the markets when the time is ripe, while being powered by the most powerful beast in Qualcomm’s chipset stable until now, the mighty Snapdragon 800. Obviously, the LTE-A version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the new device to beat when it comes to benchmarks, as it knocked off its pseudo predecessor, the current generation Galaxy S4 devices (I9500, I9505, Active).

The thing is, this bit of news concerning a LTE-A model has caused many Galaxy S4 owners in Samsung’s own home country, South Korea, to start murmuring among themselves, as they thought that their recently purchased Galaxy S4 (launched approximately a couple of months ago) would not get obsolete so fast. I would be pretty upset too if I were in their shoes, but I realized that if your smartphone gets obsolete half a year from now, does that justify making a phone upgrade so soon? Hopefully the upset Koreans won’t perform a Reaver Drop on Samsung’s HQ to show their displeasure.
