Jay-Z Magna Carta Holy Grail Album For 1 Million Galaxy Device Owners
Earlier this month, we brought you word that hip hop mogul Jay-Z (who happens to have it all at the moment – one of the queens of the R&B world, Beyonce as his missus, along with a child who has probably earned more in her first year of life by selling off her image rights and exclusive photos compared to what most of us would ever be able to earn in an entire lifetime) has inked a $20 million partnership deal with Samsung, and I guess part of that deal has started to bear fruit even as you read this. A tweet (which is an official word now in the Oxford English Dictionary) has been sent out on Sunday, where owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note 2 smartphone would be able to download Jay-Z’s latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, a cool 72 hours before the album hits the stores. Of course, this will not be a free download, but rather, you get to listen to it earlier than the other folks out there.
In order to qualify, you would obviously need one of the above mentioned Samsung devices, and when June 24th rolls around, you are required to download a special app from the Google Play Store, where it is obviously called the Magna Carta app. Wait until July 4th at 12:01 am EDT, and the app will automatically unlock Jay-Z’s new album a cool 3 days before it arrives at official music stores. Only a million Galaxy device owners will qualify, so this is one of those moments when you make that attempt to catch the proverbial early worm.
