It has only been a couple of days since Apple unveiled iOS 7 at Worldwide Developers Conference 2013. The latest iOS update comes with a plethora of improvements and enhancements, not to mention the fact that they’ve completely overhauled the user interface. Apple says that this is the biggest change they’ve made to iOS since it came out almost half a decade ago. While they didn’t talk about each and every little feature during the keynote, developers who have got access to iOS 7 beta report the various improvements they stumble upon. One such improvement is that iOS 7 supports panoramic wallpapers.
A video posted on Vine shows that if a panoramic wallpaper is set on the device, it moves around when the device moves around. Basically it uses the device’s gyroscope to figure out the device’s movement and pans across the photo accordingly. Apparently this feature only works when the wallpaper is set through Settings app and not through the Photos app. The panoramic wallpaper support feature has been spotted in first beta of iOS 7, perhaps Apple might retain it in future betas as well, or the feature might not make the cut for public release. That remains to be seen.
