The folks over at Huawei must not be too happy in recent days, not when their beloved flagship, the Huawei Ascend P6, relinquished its crown of being the thinnest smartphone in the world to the Umeox X5. I guess Huawei of China wants to do something to ensure that their presence is once again felt not only on the Internet, but across the physical realm as well – in the form of a rumor that might just spark additional or flagging interest in their flagship. Apparently, the Huawei Ascend P6 looks set to follow in the footsteps of the Google Play Edition HTC One and Galaxy S4, as Kevin Ho, head of Huawei’s handset division, did share that Huawei is currently talking to Google to “analyze the possibility bringing out a Huawei Ascend P6 with Google Edition.”
Come to think of it, the Huawei Ascend P6 is not even an old phone, far from it, as it was just announced last week, bringing along with it Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean alongside Huawei’s customized Emotion user interface. Would you bite on a Huawei Ascend P6 Google Play Edition?
