Do you think that the folks over at HTC are on a roll? I personally think so, especially when you consider that their HTC One has picked up its fair share of bouquets ever since it was launched. Still, HTC has some ways left to go before they are able to duke it out with the rest and become competitive once again, although their upcoming range of devices look to carry their own weight. Having said that, is HTC trying to take the Samsung route by offering a little something for everyone? The answer might be in the affirmative, with word of the HTC Desire 200 leaking out before its official launch, and from what we can tell by the leaked image so far, this looks all set to be a smartphone for those who are on a tight budget.
At first glance, the HTC Desire 200 definitely looks familiar, where at the front, it will sport an earpiece section which has been inspired by the HTC One, while the controls located right below resemble most of the other recently introduced Android-powered devices from HTC. When you flip it to the back, it looks like a throwback to the past, with a very close resemblance to the HTC Desire C. Underneath the hood, you will find “meh” specifications such as a 3.5” LCD display at 320 x 480 resolution, a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD memory card, and a 1,400mAh battery, with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich in tow.
