Despite the fact that Facebook Home has not been able to gain much traction, with one survey even claiming that as many as 90 percent of U.S. smartphone owners aren’t interested in Facebook Home, the world’s biggest social network has clearly not abandoned its “people-centric” Android launcher. Its latest group of Android beta testers received a new version of the network’s app today, which brings support for folders to Facebook Home. The move comes after Facebook added an app drawer to Home last month.
Its quite easy to create and manage folders on Facebook Home. Users just have to move one app on top of the other to create a new folder. These folders can be named and also added to Home’s app drawer for quick access. Apart from bringing support for folders, the new beta app also lets users share News Feed stories in private messages, open chat and bookmarks by swiping left or right as well as the ability to store Facebook’s Android app on the device’s microSD card. The app is currently with beta testers, it might be rolled out for the public in the near future. [Image via CNET]
