Blackberry Q5 Stops By The FCC With AT&T Radios
Back in May, Blackberry announced the Blackberry Q5, a Blackberry 10 device with a physical QWERTY keyboard, albeit a lower-end version of the Blackberry Q10 with a plastic body and a smaller display. The device is expected to be made available to Blackberry’s carrier partners as early as summer, with Sprint having the possibility of being one of those partners, although a recent FCC sighting might suggest otherwise. The Blackberry Q5 was spotted recently at the FCC and the model that made it through the FCC sported radio bands that would make it compatible with AT&T’s 3G network. Of course it is possible that the model at the FCC could be the model destined for AT&T (even though the carrier did not make any formal announcement), so perhaps a Sprint variant could show up at a later date. In any case this FCC sighting does not clue us in as to when it will be released, but Blackberry did promise summer so we guess we will just have to keep our eyes peeled until then.
