Computex is taking place this week in Taipei, and as a result, a number of new consumer products are being announced left and right. Asus took center stage earlier today to announce a new iteration of its Transformer Pad Infinity tablet.
The new Transformer Pad Infinity will be a 10.1-inch tablet which features an LED-backlit IPS display capable of producing a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The tablet comes with some impressive internal specs as its powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, a 72-core GeForce graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera and supports 4K video output through HDMI.
The keyboard dock of the Transformer Pad Infinity is also getting an upgrade as it measures 254mm and features a multi-touch touchpad, USB 3.0, an SDXC memory card reader and an additional battery which gives the Infinity some extra battery life when docked.
Along with a new tablet and keyboard, Asus also announced a change in their tablet line-up, going from “Transformer Prime” to “Transformer Pad” with the upcoming launch of its Transformer Pad Infinity.
