ASUS announced its MeMo Pad HD 7 at this year’s Computex, although at the time, the company didn’t disclose when exactly it would be making its way to the U.S. Today, an ASUS UK rep has confirmed the MeMo Pad HD 7 will be made available this August.
The main difference between the MeMo Pad HD 7 and the ASUS MeMo Pad is its 7-inch display is capable of producing a 1280 x 800 resolution and will sport a quad-core ARM 7 chipset, a 5MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera and will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet is being targeted as a budget-friendly Android device for emerging markets as it’ll retail for $129 for the 8GB model and $149 for the 16GB model, although the latter will only be available in the U.K at the moment.
