We’ve chronicled the rumors about an upcoming Nokia EOS smartphone in great detail. Apparently the Finnish manufacturer is working on a Windows Phone 8 smartphone that touts a 41 megapixel camera on the back. Today is the first time that we get to see allegedly leaked pictures of this device, or at least of its body. The purported Nokia EOS looks much like the Lumia 920, though there’s a big hole in the back supposedly for the 41 megapixel camera.
Based on these pictures it is speculated that perhaps a plastic of some kind will be used as a cover for the lens. As far as the body’s construction is concerned, it looks like the device will be fashioned out of the same polycarbonate material that is used for Lumia 920. The 41 megapixel camera expected to be in this smartphone is said to be aided by optical image stabilization, Xenon flash + LED and may be even variable aperture. The Nokia EOS is expected to be announced on 9th July and that it will head to AT&T first. Nokia is yet to confirm the existence of this device. [Images via WPDang]
