Acer has just announced the Acer Orbe wireless storage hub, which so happens to be a new kind of storage hub that will connect itself to the AcerCloud. Yes sir, it seems that just about every other manufacturer want to have something to do with the cloud these days. Having said that, Computex 2013 proved to be the platform where Acer has decided to reveal the Orbe to the masses.
With the Acer Orbe, this new storage hub will let you take advantage of up to 2TB of internal storage within a rather strange looking device that will in turn hook up to devices such as Ultrabooks, tablets and smartphones. Will it come in handy one day? Perhaps, especially when you consider that the cloud service’s recent update enables just about any Android or iOS device to hook up to it. The thing is, hardware specifications from Acer have yet to be forthcoming, but we will stay tuned in any case just in case something pops up along the way. Do you think that the Acer Orbe will catch on in a big way?
