Known as the FX-9590, this will be an eight-core chip that relies on the ‘Piledriver’ architecture, letting it touch the magical 5GHz mark when in turbo mode. Apart from that, there is also the octa-core FX-9370 chip that sports a similar architecture, although its speed maxes out at a slightly slower 4.7GHz. Expect both the FX-9590 and FX-9370 to be available later this summer, with pricing details yet to be determined. Do bear in mind that if you are going to get either one in your new PC which will do nothing other than surf pages of cute kittens, check your email, fire up Skype and post Facebook updates, it would be nothing but overkill.
